The story is of a young American Sikh boy, Sunny and his family. Sunny is a seven years old smart kid who likes play-acting all the time. He is very inquisitive and questions everything he sees. He is bullied at school and refuses to go to school the next day. His granny tells him about the Vaisakhi of 1699 and explains the importance of Kes (uncut hair) and other Kakkars (5 K's). He finally feels the strength and becomes a Proud Sikh!

Let's meet his family.

Granny is a proud Sikh woman who knows about the unique heritage of the Khalsa panth (Sikh Community). She teaches her grandchildren to be strong and proud Sikhs.
Jagmeet Singh is Sunny's father. He cares for his children and loves his mom. He understands the principles of Sikhism and teaches them to his kids. The way he presents the concept of Shabad Guru to Sunnny is impressive. Ramminder Kaur is Sunny's mother. She is a loving mother who is always worried about her children. She is worried about how they will handle the discrimination faced in schools because of their unique appearance.
Jimmy is the family pet.
He loves Sunny and follows him wherever he goes.
